I've been teaching pupils in Prestwick for over 20 years, with students travelling from throughout Ayrshire. Some have even come from as far as Kilmarnock and Girvan, and I appreciate the enthusiasm that drives people to make the journey for lessons when they're unable to find suitable times or days with more local teachers. 


Fees and lesson lengths:

Fees as of January 2026 are £15 per half hour.

Beginners (0 - Grade 3) - 30 minutes
Intermediate (Grades 4 - 6) - 45 minutes
Advanced (Grade 7+) - 60 minutes


Cancellations:

The cancellation policy is as follows:

• 24 hours notice is required to cancel a lesson. The full lesson fee will be due of any lesson cancelled within this period. 
• Please give as much notice as you can - this gives us the opportunity to try to reschedule the lesson where possible.

Lesson frequency and holidays

Lessons are offered on a weekly basis. As I teach both children and adults, I teach throughout the year, and am available for lessons through most school holidays. It is recommended that one or two lessons are scheduled at some point through the summer holidays, partly to make the autumn term a little easier, but particularly for any pupil hoping to take exams in the winter session.
